The Logbook is not a second pass and not a replacement. It only remembers where you have already been – so you don't have to puzzle over which number is still missing.
The Logbook opens with the First Edition. The card for it comes with every pass – there is nothing to set up and nothing to look for.

Open it once
Every pass comes with a card: a QR code, the same code in plain text, your number. Scan it – and you are in. No account, no password.
See where you are
Which number already has a stamp, which one is still missing. A filter shows you which cafés are open right now – useful when time appears unexpectedly.
Log it, and say how it was
Opening hours for all seven days, today highlighted. After the visit you tap the café – and answer four questions if you like. Only that café sees them, summarised and without your name.
The booklet at the end
Once every café is logged, the Logbook names one or two random pages. You photograph them, we take a look – and whoever finishes gets something for it. What, we won't say.
What the Logbook
deliberately does not do.
A digital counter can devalue a physical ritual very quickly. So what it must not do is settled beforehand.
No digital stamps
Only the real stamp in the booklet counts. The Logbook counts along, it proves nothing.
No account
No login, no password, no email required – your code is the key. So your progress is the same on every device, it is stored with us, linked to your code and nothing else.
No rewards
The Logbook unlocks nothing and raffles nothing. What follows a full booklet at the end hangs on the real stamps – not on the counter.
Three ways back.
The code is the only key – that is the price of having no account. So it doesn't get lost, there are three ways, and the best one is the most analogue.
The pass number alone is never enough. It is visible in the booklet and in every photo – which is why it can never grant anyone access.
Write it in the booklet
There is a field for it on the owner's page. After that the card may go missing – the key is in the booklet, and the booklet is what you keep.
Put it on your phone
The icon on your home screen remembers the code. Helpful day to day, not when you change devices.
Leave an email address
Voluntary, inside the Logbook itself. The only way back if both the card and the note in the booklet are gone.
If none of the above
Write to us. With proof that the pass is yours, we issue a new code and block the old one.
About the Logbook.
Do I need the Logbook?
No. The pass works perfectly well without it. The Logbook is for anyone who wants to see quickly, while out and about, which numbers are still open.
Do I have to sign up?
No. There is no account, no password and no registration. The code on the enclosed card opens your Logbook – on any device where you enter it.
What is stored?
Your pass number, which cafés you have logged, the date of each, your notes and your answers to the four questions – linked to your code and nothing else. No name, no address, no location. Your email address only if you leave it voluntarily. You can delete all of it yourself.
Who sees my answers to the four questions?
Only that café, and only summarised – without your name and without any single answer being traceable to you. There are no public reviews, no stars, no ranking between cafés. Your private notes are seen by no one but you.
What if I lose the card?
If your code is written in the booklet, you type it in and you are back. If you left an email address, we send you a link. If neither is the case, write to us – with proof that the pass is yours, we issue a new code and block the old one. The pass number on its own is not enough.
Is there a proper app in the store?
No, and that is deliberate. An app wants to entertain and to notify. The pass wants to be used.
What happens when my booklet is full?
Then you hand in your booklet: the Logbook names one or two random pages, you photograph them, we look at them by hand. Whoever finishes gets something for it – what, we won't say. Only this much: it is not a discount, nothing is raffled, and everyone who made it receives it.
Does an entry in the Logbook count as a visit?

I'm giving the pass as a present – what about the code?
Then don't scan the card, leave it in the booklet. The code belongs to whoever receives the pass.
Secure yourself
a low number.
One thousand copies, numbered by hand from 001 to 1000. Numbers are assigned in the order orders come in. Whoever is on the list hears first when sales open in November.
Costs nothing, commits you to nothing. One email when it starts – whether you buy is still entirely up to you.
